• Nilagrad: Nilagrad is a celebrated spot near Sonmarg is the confluence of a red, mountain river and the ruthless Indus River. The deep crimson colour at the junction has led the local community into believing that the water has several healing properties. Regardless of the legend, it’s a beautiful picnic spot and lets the visitors bask in the sun.
• Baltal Valley: The exotic valley of Baltal, untouched by the wrath of the casual tourists, is a camping ground for pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra. Since the Yatra takes place between June and August, the valley of Baltal stays deserted for the rest of the year. The grasslands within the valley have the provision to hire tents and camp for the night under the starry sky. This, of course, is subject to Sonmarg weather conditions and season and requires additional charges
